This case study from Trinity College Dublin outlines Education for Sustainable Development at Trinity (2022–2025+, SATLE funded), led by the Centre for Academic Practice in partnership with Trinity Sustainability and ESD Fellows. The initiative seeks to embed Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) across undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, empowering staff and students to act as agents of change within planetary boundaries. Key objectives include defining sustainability competencies aligned with UNESCO and GreenComp frameworks, developing interdisciplinary modules, supporting Schools in integrating ESD into teaching strategies, fostering communities of practice, and creating open access resources. The project is supported by dedicated SATLE funding for ESD Fellows, academic development, research assistance, and student internships, with phase one evaluation currently informing phase two development.
