Whitehurst, Katherine (2024) MIC Academic Integrity Policy. In: Higher Education Authority Teaching and Learning Conference 2024, Dublin.
This case study from Mary Immaculate College (MIC) outlines the development of the MIC Academic Integrity Policy (2024–2025), led by the Learning Enhancement and Academic Development (LEAD) Centre. The policy aims to clarify the distinction between academic integrity and academic misconduct, provide guidance on the use of digital tools including Generative AI, and outline the responsibilities of the college community. Developed through a representative subcommittee and aligned with national and institutional frameworks, the policy adopts an educational and care-focused approach and will apply to all members of the MIC community from 2025–2030.
