Abstract

This case study from Munster Technological University (MTU) describes RAFT – Reimagining Assessment and Feedback Together, an ongoing initiative (since 2021–22) led by the Teaching and Learning Unit. RAFT supports academic staff to undertake year-long, action research projects to enhance assessment and feedback practices, engage students as partners, and develop pedagogical research skills. Delivered online across six campuses, the initiative has involved 60 staff, generated over 30 completed interventions, produced case studies and conference outputs, and evidenced positive impacts on student engagement, performance, and staff practice.
