Abstract

This case study from Maynooth University describes ‘My Maynooth on Moodle’ – Maynooth University Online Orientation Programme (2023/24–ongoing), led by Student Skills & Success. Delivered asynchronously through Moodle, the programme provides modular, year-long orientation content to over 3,500 first-year undergraduate students annually. It combines advance information, monthly thematic releases, interactive activities, and peer-led student videos to support students’ academic, personal, and professional transition to university. Funded through SATLE, the programme includes built-in evaluation mechanisms and ongoing content development based on student feedback and stakeholder collaboration.
