El Amoud, Lyndsey (2026) The Engage Project: A Digital Professional Development Resource for Part-Time Lecturers at University College Cork. In: Higher Education Authority Teaching and Learning Conference 2025, 2025, Dublin.
This case study presents The Engage Project, a SATLE Pathfinder-funded professional development initiative developed by Adult Continuing Education (ACE) at University College Cork. Designed to support over 100 part-time lecturers, the Canvas-based course Engage: Teaching Lifelong Learners in Higher Education provides flexible, self-paced modules on inclusive teaching, assessment, academic integrity, and teaching with technology. Developed collaboratively with CIRTL, the Centre for Digital Education, and UCC’s academic integrity team, the course aligns with UCC’s Connected Curriculum and national frameworks. Early pilot feedback indicates strong engagement and high relevance to practice, with the resource positioned as a scalable model to enhance teaching quality and consistency across ACE programmes
