This case study presents the Compendium of Embedding Education for Sustainable Development in Teaching, Learning and Assessment developed by the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation and Development at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) in collaboration with the TUS ESD Community of Practice. Published in September 2025, the compendium showcases research-informed practices for integrating ESD across funded research projects, programme and module design, extra-curricular initiatives, and teaching and assessment strategies. Aligned with the ESD for 2030 Priority Action Areas and institutional strategy, the publication serves as a practical guide for educators and stakeholders seeking to embed sustainability within higher education. As the first compendium of its kind in an Irish HEI, it supports institutional capacity-building and cross-institutional collaboration, with dissemination through national and international partnerships.
