La Cumbre, Sarah, Denby, Sinead, Curley, Dora, Keevey, Clara, Taylor, Daire and UNSPECIFIED (2026) Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Starter Pack. In: Higher Education Authority Teaching and Learning Conference 2025, 2025, Dublin.
This case study outlines the development and implementation of the TUS Starter Pack, a SATLE-funded digital platform designed to support first-year students across Technological University of the Shannon’s multi-campus environment. Led by the Student Resource Centre in collaboration with CPID and cross-functional stakeholders, the Starter Pack provides a centralised, accessible hub of pre-arrival and induction information, including registration guidance, IT access, timetables, support services, interactive maps, and short video content. Built using inclusive design principles, the platform aims to reduce student anxiety, improve preparedness, and foster a sense of belonging. Early evaluation indicates strong engagement and positive student feedback, with the initiative now positioned as a sustainable, evolving component of TUS’s digital transformation and student support strategy.
