Croí – Your Life, Your Career: Embedding Values for Sustainable & Professional Development

This case study from Munster Technological University (MTU) presents Croí – Your Life, Your Career, a values-based reflective initiative designed to support students in aligning their personal core values with academic, professional, and life choices. Rooted in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and aligned with the Inner Development Goals, Croí uses structured workshops and the Portrait Values Questionnaire to guide students through values-identification and career alignment processes. Piloted across Business Information Systems and Visual Communications programmes, the initiative has engaged over 200 students, with reported increases in motivation, clarity, and professional identity development. Supported by open-access resources and educator training, Croí is being scaled across MTU and through the Ingenium Alliance.
