This case study from Munster Technological University (MTU) outlines how the Teaching and Learning Unit has built a culture of excellence in teaching and learning through sustained engagement with the National Forum’s DELTA (Disciplinary Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Assessment) Award. Since 2021, MTU has achieved five successful DELTA awards and multiple renewals, supported by strong institutional leadership, structured mentorship, and an ecosystem of initiatives including RAFT, Learning Communities, SATLE-funded projects, and student partnership through AnSEO. The initiative demonstrates how distributed leadership, dedicated support structures, and alignment with institutional strategy can embed evidence-informed enhancement and disciplinary excellence across programmes and faculties.
