As part of ALT’s strategic aim to strengthen recognition and representation for Learning Technology professionals from all sectors, one of the priorities Members identified for this year is to develop an ethical framework for Learning Technology.
Ethical use of Learning Technology and data has been a key focus for many organisations as online and blended learning is scaled up. Drawing on examples from their own work and context, the key questions our panel will discuss are:
what are the biggest issues emerging in ethical approaches to online and blended learning and teaching;
in what contexts does the need for an ethical framework arise and what are practical examples of this?
what would you like to see included in the framework?
