Abstract

This study examines a flipped online pharmaceutical biotechnology module combining recorded lectures, live application classes and weekly low-stakes quizzes. Viewing activity was associated with assessment performance, while a small student focus group valued flexibility, interaction and opportunities to apply knowledge. The authors discuss implications for online course design and acknowledge the limited number of focus-group participants.
