Abstract

A literature review undertaken for the University of Galway’s Designing Futures programme examines student engagement as a theoretical framework for inclusive higher education practice. The review narrows an initial collection of 2,031 articles to 53 texts and considers engagement practices and research approaches. It proposes a working model to guide the programme’s implementation and continuing evaluation.
