Exploring the impact of an online learning community to support student teachers on school placement

This qualitative study evaluates an online learning community supporting student teachers during school placement in the Republic of Ireland. Interviews and forum contributions highlight opportunities for dialogue and reflection, supported by cooperating teachers and a higher education tutor. The paper develops design principles for hybrid learning spaces that connect placement experience with collaborative enquiry.
