Abstract

Using provider data and a student survey, this study investigates the use of Studiosity by distance learners at Dublin City University. Students generally valued the service, but patterns of help-seeking varied by study level and existing academic confidence. The paper considers how outsourced online support relates to institutional services and the need for proactive approaches that reach students who require assistance.
