New Learning and Teaching Models with a Focus on Micro and Digital Credentialing Report

Commissioned by the N-TUTORR National Digital Leadership Network, this report examines microcredentials, digital badges and open recognition in Irish higher education, with a focus on the technological university sector. It considers interoperable standards, flexible learning pathways and recognition of learning beyond conventional academic qualifications. Drawing on Irish and international examples, it discusses implementation challenges and offers recommendations for higher education leaders developing credentialing strategies.
