Dr Robin DeRosa is the Executive Director of the Open Education Network , a global organization based out of the University of Minnesota that facilitates community care and collective action in open education to empower faculty, remove barriers to learning and knowledge-sharing, and enhance student success.

This one-day national event brought together colleagues from across Ireland’s higher education sector to explore current developments in open education and its policy context.

The programme combined keynote addresses, sectoral case studies, short “Gasta” talks, and panel discussions and workshops designed to share experience and explore practical next steps. Contributions included perspectives from open education practitioners and scholars working across Irish and international higher education contexts.
