Abstract

The engineering team experience with the intelligent ground vehicle competition (IGVC) is described. Hundreds of students have learned a great deal about cutting-edge technologies in automotive engineering technologies. They have utilized professional design procedures and performed hands-on fabrication and testing. They have merged electrical and mechancial engineering along with computer science and physics. They have also learned to work in teams and to understand the full product realization process.
