Abstract

Moodle now contains a workshop module which can be used to manage peer assessment activity. This module was used with a group of second year software programming students. Students were asked to access both their own work and the work of two other students against a rubric which had four well defined criteria. Students were also accessed independently by the lecturer. Two attitude surveys were taken to access how students perceived the fairness of the activity and whether they felt it added value.
