Abstract

The article reports that the University College Cork (UCC), Ireland has been attracting students in engineering since it offered the Master in Engineering Science (M. Eng. Sc.) programme in Sustainable Energy in 2005. The programme provides education in sustainable energy to graduate engineers covering areas such as renewable energy technologies, energy integration and energy trends and policies. UCC also launched a level eight Bachelor in Engineering (BE) program in energy engineering in 2007 to meet the future demand for energy engineering graduates.
