Abstract

Abstract Surveys are an excellent way to obtain feedback from students and staff. Whether you are talking about module or programme evaluations or surveys on student engagement or other similar exercises. However the administrative burden that comes with the delivery of surveys can be very cumbersome and off-putting. The questionnaire plugin for Moodle is an excellent feature allowing you to manage surveys within a course. This paper will outline the customized development work that DCU commissioned to allow easy roll out of a survey(s) online across a range of specified modules through the push of a button. In addition to facilitating the easy distribution of the survey, this development also facilitates the controlled release of survey data to relevant stakeholders: individual lecturers, heads of school and or faculty, teaching and learning units etc. Authors Mark Glynn (DCU), Gavin Henrick (LTS)
